Sometimes matching everything from your wedding dress all the way down to the napkins and invitations can be quite difficult. Here are some interesting ideas from our specialists, the wedding planners, on how to match from top to bottom on your wedding day.

One idea being that if you have the trendy black and white wedding cake, place a black ribbon at the bottom of your tiers(1-2″) and add a thinner band, (1/2-3/4″)  of the brightest of your wedding colors to go against the black to make it an eye catcher.

Colored gem stones pick up your accent colors as well as overlays on your cookie tables as well as vases with colored curly willow. Planners are great for helping you with all your details just like these to make your wedding pop!

Other ideas for matching colors:

• Review the color wheel – Make sure you can identify which colors go with each other and understand the ones that work against one another
• Leave solid colors (ie. black and gray) to the groom and groomsman this way you and your bridesmaids can really stand out
• When you are matching colors make sure you consider things like – Is the wedding indoors or outdoors? Does your bridal party all have fair skin? What types of flowers are available at the time of your wedding? Also, what is that weather going to be like on your wedding day?
